I liked the episode, crafted very much to enable Tony to be a hero, and nothing wrong with that, but as a writer myself, I just automatically look at these things and why they couldn't have done them better. (AKA my way!) I'm not above contriving situations myself, but I try to be a bit more realistic.

Why does Gibbs go in without backup from his team? They're his team, he should enlist their aid. Instead it's only because his team works on their own, along with Jennie, that Tony is there to save the day.

Why does he back the car up all the way into the water? Even if the locks hadn't shorted out and the steering wheel not gone all kerfluie, they would have had to surface and been shot like fish in a barrel. They should have shown him trying to turn the wheel or something to get started going in a different direction, but a gunshot blows a tire and over they go, or something.

With the windows closed, no water could have gotten into the car. They would have been trapped because with the water presssre outside, the doors would have been sealed shut even if they could have gotten them open. It's because they couldn't get the windows open that they would have died. And why did Maddie lose consciousness immediately, anyway!

The way *I* would have written it, Gibbs and Maddie are trapped in the car. Explain to the audience through dialog that the doors won't open aginst the water pressure, and they can't equalize the pressure since t hey can't get the windows open. So they'll suffocate. Could have been a nice moment there between the two. Then, Tony arrives. He manages to get the windshield off --- ah, now I think..the water got in through the bullet holes...but it would have been a slow process!) even though he knows that he's dooming Gibbs because Gibbs is still trapped by the steering wheel. So Maddie won't need mouth to mouth but Gibbs will.

Dose anyone know why they got a new actress to play Kelly? it use to be a girl called Marry Mouser. Also some of the flash backs are different to the ones that they show on Hiatus, like when Gibbs is going of to war. is that just a mistake or was it on purpose?

Looking at the cast list, its looking like shannon and kelly come back from witness protection. or at least one of them does. director jenny closed the file during the hiatus 2 episode. and i'm terribly afraid gibbs will lose them again somehow. much as i like the lt col mann character, it would be nice just once for something in his personal life to go right for gibbs.
