Yeah, in the dead of summer, it's almost as hot in Montréal as in Miami.

But it's true, we are acustomed to the cold and the snow.

When my parents where in Florida their first time, about 35 years ago,
they where on the beach, in their bathing suits, while some locals had
wool hats, like Ziva's beanny (btw, we call them a "tuque").
The temperature was in he low 70's.

Here, when I see an immigrant with a winter coat in the fall, when it's about
50 degrees, I think that person will have a looooooong winter.

A few years ago, close to the end of october, a friend from France was visiting us.
The morning of her departure, it was snowing very lightly in Montréal (the ground was'nt frozen yet, so the snow melted on contact), and she was whoried her plane wouldn't take off....
