DiNozzo could lead the new show. CBS has given clues that are called foreshadowing in literature and they seem to lead to Tony. How are interpreting these and other clues?
Reasons why:
#1. CBS is really advertising the show for Feb. 17, 2009-which features Team DiNozzo. NCIS has had a low advertising budget-even on CBS.
#2. Jenny offered Tony a leadership position in Europe, when Gibbs returned from Mexico and was later reinstated as team leader.
#3. Director Vance assigned Tony to sea service and made the comment to Gibbs that an agent with as much time in NCIS needed to have sea time on the record.
#4. Tony successfully went under cover in the investigation of la grenouille.
#5 Tony was very sharp and exciting, when he investigated the drug dealing impostor on the flat top.
#6 Several months ago, a physicist noted that something was going to change in NCIS, because of the marathon reruns on USA network.
#7. Donald Belisario hasn't been scared to completely go into new venues. For example, think of how JAG started when he had a dream about a Tomcat having a bad landing on a flat top. Then look how "Quantum Leap" was a scifi/fantasy show. No, I don't think that the spin-off will be scifi/fantasy. I'm just saying that Donald seems to be able to put together exciting series.
#8. We got a taste of NCIS international intrigue with Director Jenny Sheppard. So we can't rule out a cloak and dagger series.
