Episode Name/ Season Nº What/Who got you watching it? Name
Bikini Wax (Season 2, Episode 18) My mother has always been a fan of Police Dramas, and I don't know how she found it (she started watching at some point in Season 3, since she only knew Ziva at the time, and wanted to find out how Kate died). Much like Law and Order SVU, I simply sat down to watch it and thought that it was 'alright'. I didn't go seeking it out to watch, since I'm not really a fan of TV, but Mum would call me out when it was on.

Unfortunately, we started watching it on pay TV in the break in the middle of the third season on free-to-air TV, so all we ever caught were reruns or Season 1 and most of Season 2 (it never made it past "SWAK"; it took years for "Twilight" to come on). I was so confused when I turned on Channel 10 and saw Ziva - I was thinking "Where the hell is Kate?", but now I prefer her over Kate.

I believe the first episode I actually sat down on my own to watch was "The Good Wives Club". The reason that I put "Bikini Wax", though, is because the first impression of NCIS that I got was Tony and Kate discussing that they were going to treat someone "like a felon" (please correct me if this isn't the episode to which I am referring... I don't have access to my DVDs at the moment).

Season 1, Episode 16 Bete Noire I was searching for Kate (Lost) centric fanfiction of fanfiction.net, and came upon a Kate (NCIS) centric fic. I read it and loved it. So I started watching eps. from the first two seasons and really got into them. And now I regularly watch it on Tuesday nights. ConfessorKahlan
Season 1, Episode 8: Minimum Security I was bored and there was nothing on TV. I've always liked crime dramas and I'd always been aware that NCIS existed, but I thought it was much like CSI so I didn't bother. USA Network was having a back-to-back NCIS mini-marathon and it seemed to be the only thing on that was worth watching.

I didn't get hooked until I realized how hot Mark Harmon was and that Michael Weatherly was in it (who I used to watch in Dark Angel and loved). The next episode I saw was "High Seas," which was even better so ever since then I've been obsessed.

Season 3 When I was younger, my parents were gone on Tuesday nights. They recorded the episodes, and we couldn't change the channel. So I would sit down and watch the episode. It wasn't until late in the season I was finally hooked (I think it was season three; I know Ziva was in it).
Then my parents went out and bought the first season. We watched it, and I fell in love with the show.

Season 2, Meat Puzzle I used to hate NCIS... but then I watched this eppy & fell in love completely! kaykina93
Season 7, Truth or Consequences Yup, I really am the ultimate Newbie. Never gave this show a second glance since I generally detest procedurals and most of my attention is usually on genre SciFi/Fantasy programming. Caught the season 7 premiere while channel surfing and was instantly hooked. Have now spent just about every waking moment since catching up on 6 seasons of episodes (God bless the USA network). Love all sorts of things about the show, but it is truly the Tony/Ziva relationship that caught my attention and is responsbile for this new found obsession. Ryalin
