Whilst I'm all for spreading the NCIS love I feel I have to point out that putting a disclaimer on some of these pages, stating this is not your work that has been uploaded, is not good enough.
Many of these icon makers (that includes me) were never asked permission for their work to be taken and posted here and many of the icons were clearly marked as not for redistribution as they were made for specific people as gifts or for graphic competitions etc. What makes the lack of permission worse is that there seems to be a facility to credit the work when uploading (the es.bebo.com examples above) and yet most of the work has not been credited. Please, please consider the artists' when 'taking' work. Time and effort goes into these creations and whilst most icons are made to share, not all of them are and it is just impolite not to drop a quick message to ask permission first. Thank you. |
