I read the meaning of his name: Leroy comes from french and it meanes something like "the king", name Jethro comes from hebrew and it means something like "outstanding". That's what I read, I hope that it's right, becouse it defenetely matches with Gibbs

hey, this page is locked and i wanted 2 add some quotes cuz this catagory is pathetically bare, one of the quotes:
Mann: (To Gibbs) "You ought to want me, and the fact that you don't just makes me wonder why I ever wanted you in the first place." (silence) "Well aren't you going to say something?" Gibbs: "You told me not to" Mann: "Well, I'm telling you now" Gibbs: (Pauses, then moves towards the bathroom door) " I was going to say that I found another leak in your bathroom and I was trying to get the job finished before you came home" (he opens door onto complete plumbing chaos) "Bigger job than I thought". Mann: (Looking at the mess). "How long is this going to take?" Gibbs: "A while" Mann: (realizing that the plumbing job is Gibbs' way of committing to the relationship without actually saying anything) "I feel like an idiot." Gibbs: "Sounded like one" Mann kisses him, enthusiastically. Mann: "How do I make it up to you?" Gibbs (holds aloft a plastering trowel and looks her in the eye). Mann: (grins). |

Figured I'd start a thread just to get the Gibbs or any fans to chat about their favorite reasons and things they like about Gibbs!
I think he's funny, smart, got a great smile. He leads the team well, challenges the young ones under his command. He always does what is right whether it's "wrong" or not.

So, for the longest time I've been trying to figure out how old Gibbs is in the show. I've been thinking that since he was too young for Vietnam and that ended in 1975, we can assume he was born some time between 1958 and 1973. Anybody have any idea how old he is in the show?

ok. this may seem like a really weird question, but if you're in my head it's not. maybe it won't seem that weird. anyway. in hiatus 2 gibbs kelly and shannon are riding horses. anyone have a clue what these horses are?
i'd put a picture on the thread, but i'm not sure how. so i just put it on as my user image thing. (everyone reckons i'm as good as abby with computers, but my social knowlege side, is about as good as gibbs) so if anyone knows what these horses are please help me out or if you know how to put a picture on the thread same story. thanks. one more thing. if you want the picture on your computer go to my profile and right click, save image and it ends up being quite a decent size. if you want it for a video or collection or whatver.

He holds the team together.He keeps it going...without him the show cannot go on...if he goes the whole show will collapse in season 5!hes funny,sharp,dedicated,respected and loved person in the show..ohh and also a father figure!...hes the best guy around!

Gibbs is a very handsome man. But, those DRAB Colors they make him wear wouldn't work for anyone. I realize the Team probably has a Dress Code. Would it hurt to let him wear some Navy Blue, Dark Green, or even a DARK Brown, or Dark Black.? The colors he wears makes him look, washed out. I Love Gibbs/Mark. Don't get me wrong. But, Maybe, just a few brighter colors.

Any comments on or insights into the relationship between Jethro and his daddy? They were estranged for quite some time, and both were a bit testy when we saw them meet after a number of years.

Would love to know what kind of sniper rifle that Gibbs had whil he was a sniper in the USMC; also the exact kind og glock that Jenny carried for her personal weapon. I'm just curious about the sniper rifle but am going to purchase a glock & want one like Jen's. (my Daughter in Montana has a glock & says it;s great for range shooting plus a great woman's gun, feels good in your hand) We are all nuts for range shooting & target practice, My father taught me when I was very young, he got me familiar with guns when I turned four and it stayed a passion for the rest of my life. Guess I passed it along!)

Would like others opinion. Isn't time for Gibbs to let Shannon go and move on? I would like to see him in a loving, stable relationship that would lead to marriage. He needs someone not in law enforcement who will love him and give him a happy home life. What do the rest of you think?

Over on the CBS-NCIS web site there is a thread about Gibbs' Bracelet...where has it gone? He hasn't worn it in season 5 and I still think its missing in season 6. It has got smaller over the seasons according to one keen eyed follower and the only close up of it was way back in seeason 1 where it showed an eagle holding arrows.....now a Bald Eagle is the US national bird and arrows held in the talons of said bird represent courage in war!! I had noticed that Gibbs has had 4 different wrist watches....or so I think. But surely some one out there must know more about the bracelet and why isn't he wearing it anymore. Anyone got the answer??
