Brief Bio on his acting Career: Mark Harmon began his career guest-starring on TV series such as "Police Woman," "Emergency" and "Adam-12." He found success playing many roles, but his part as a doctor who contracted AIDS on "St. Elsewhere" could be considered a major breakthrough. Just prior to NCIS, he starred as CJ's ill-fated love interest/secret service agent Simon Donovan on "The West Wing." His character Leroy Jethro Gibbs was first introduced in the series JAG that led to the NCIS spinoff.

On the set of NCIS he uses a 1972 Airstream he restored himself.

How on earth, he wondered, could the six-foot-tall, salt-and-pepper-haired sex symbol who'd stolen hearts as a scamp in St. Elsewhere and Chicago Hope play tough-as-nails agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs from the Navy's elite crime investigative unit?
Before he was on NCIS he was on the movie Summer School (1988.) He was a real baseball fan that turned into a baseball player.

Can anyone please tell me if Mark Harmon is leaving "NCIS?" If he is leaving then I figure that there is no more purpose to continue to watch NCIS. After Lauren Holly(Jenny) left, it was hard to watch someone else step up into the "NCIS Director!" I would be very greatful if anyone can fill me in. I have been watching Mark Harmon since he was on "St. Elsewhere!" Thank you.

hey... What is your fav' movie with Mr Mark Harmon in ???
i really luv For all time!!!! ( this is my real fav' one of him ^^) and The Deliberate Stranger ( it was the real first time i watched him playing a bad man role and WOW!!! Oh My Goodness!!!
