Lilac_Elf NCIS bracelets 4 Wednesday, 11:15 PM EST by hollywood73

I was in a store and I saw one of those fabric 'WWJD'. I almost bought one since in my case I could say it stood for 'What Would Jethro Do?'.

But I got to thinking and I had a really good idea to make beaded NCIS WW--D character bracelets using different colored beads for the different characters:

Purple--Jenny Shepard
Blue--Jethro Gibbs
Green--Tony DiNozzo
Orange--Ziva David
Red & Black--Abby Scuito

(Not sure about McGee or Ducky. suggestions are welcome.)

Here's the question part of the program. Does anyone else like the idea? Because I have a very specific design in my head (The WW--D letters one one side and 'NCIS' and the trademark stamp on the other) and although I'm going to play around with it, I'm thinking if enough people here like the idea I might try and pitch the idea to the show execs as official NCIS merchandise.

Am I crazy or does anyone think this sounds like a good idea?

Zivas_boy_toy Verified Authentic NCIS Gear 15 Oct 14 2009, 9:03 AM EDT by TonyDeNardo

Many of us want to have stuff that is authentic as possible, but you have to know how the whole LEOs in the fictional media costuming thing works.

Most cop shows will have a certain amount of non-authenticity to protect the production from possible legal problems regarding federal law. Some famous examples are:
CSI- the division portrayed in the TV series as part of LVPD (Las Vegas Police Department) is actually a division of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD)
X-Files- The ID cards carried by Mulder and Scully (and Reyes and Doggett and assistant principal Skinner) all say "Department of Investigation, Federal Bureau of Justice" instead of the real Federal Bureau of Investigation, which is the LEO arm of the Department of Justice
The LAPD almost NEVER allows likenesses of its shield or uniforms to be used in films or TV. In "T.J. Hooker", all of us living in LA, as well as everyone else, knew that the "LCPD" in the series was really LAPD. The LAPD was portrayed in the film "Blue Thunder", and the patches and uniforms were correct, but the shields were bogus. Same goes for FXs "The Shield", which uses shields very similar to LAPD, and makes veiled reference to being LAPD, but never does so explicitly, because LAPD would have their collective ass.

There are, however, a lot of real, authentic wearables that we civilians can score, with no fear of reprisal. I have personally purchased patches from LAPD, and there are some great sites where you can get shirts and patches that are bona fide NYPD and FDNY.
As far as NCIS goes, I am compiling sources for real-life NCIS, as well as TV-authentic NCIS stuff, for you wannabe McGeeks. I will classify each as either authentic to the series, or authentic to the real NCIS. My sources are NCIS's official web site, and a new TV series on Investigation Discovery, 10PM EST Thursdays, called "The Real NCIS".

Ok, so I noticed quite a few people admire Abby and her style! I too love Abby, she's smart, caring and funny! What I like most about Abby is she brought Goth to the mainstream and made us not look so scary!! I have been goth for about 8 years now, so having Abby around really helps!! If anyone is interested in the clothing she wears, just ask, I can usually point you in the right direction! Here is one for starters: http://www.lip-service.com
