I wasn't as mad as I was confused. It didn't make sense to me to split up such a good thing. I think that is when I began to dislike Vance but the strong dislike grew in season 6 because you could never understand what he was doing and making Tony agent afloat pissed me off. He did get a little bit better and i certainly don't want him to die because is interaction with Gibbs is fantastic and interesting. I do not trust him and don't know if I ever will. Then again, I never trusted Jenny or liked Jenny.
