Spoiler or Information: NCIS' Won't Pull Another 'House' Shake-Up

In the two-part season 5 finale of NCIS, the team lost one of its own, Director Jenny Shepard (Lauren Holly), who was killed in a shootout. Following the funeral, the Assistant Director of NCIS calledTony (Michael Weatherly), Ziva (Cote de Pablo), Tim (Sean Murray), and Gibbs (Mark Harmon) to his office. He seemingly reassigned Tony to the nuclear-powered super carrier USS Ronald Reagan, Ziva back to Mossad, the national intelligence agency of the State of Israel, and Tim to the cybercrimes unit. The episode concluded with the new Director giving Gibbs three "confidential" folders and telling him "Meet your new team..."
While this has left three big bomb shells on NCIS fans, this has also left viewers of the long-running series to speculate whether the police drama will reshuffle the team just like what happened on the TV series House.
Fans will have to wait for the sixth season of NCIS to find out what's in store for Tony, Ziva, Tim, and Gibbs. Meanwhile, executive producer Shane Brennan has something to reveal that will hopefully calm down its raging fans.
“No fan of NCIS will be disappointed when the show returns in September,” Brennan told TV Guide. “I promise, we're not doing a House! But strap into your seats, it's going to be a heart stopping ride…Deep breaths. Everything is going to be fine. This is Gibbs' team, right?”
As for the question on whether NCIS will be introducing any new team members next season, Brennan says "yes and no." Having said that, it seems that splitting up the NCIS team may be a cliffhanger than a long-term rebuilding strategy such as House embarked on.
NCIS also stars David McCallum (Dr. Donald "Ducky" Mallard), Pauley Perrette (Abby Sciuto), Rocky Carroll (Leon Vance), Don Franklin (Ron Sacks), Brian Dietzen (Jimmy Palmer) and Joe Spano (Tobias Fornell).

It was a multiple stunner: Director Shepard was killed; Tony and McGee were transferred and Israeli agent Ziva got axed by new chief Vance. Not to worry says NCIS exec producer Shane Brennan, who vows he won't pull a "House" and relegate favorite characters to walk-on status: "It was time for a change, and to bring in a new director for Gibbs and his team." But, Brennan promises, "We're not leaving Tony, Ziva and McGee."

Hi, everyone.
As I mentioned before, filming is wrapping this week and the cast and crew will begin their hiatus, with an expected return July 2nd. Production will begin prepping the week previous, June 23rd.
What we filmed this past week (week of May 19, 2008) is one of our special episodes to air in the Fall; it is not, however, our Season Six opener. The reason for filming this episode, as well as our early return, is due, in part, to the increased order of episodes from CBS, which you already know about.
The episode "Heartland" was written by Jesse Stern and directed by Tony Wharmby. The air date, and the air date for our Season Six premiere episode, will be posted as soon as CBS releases their schedule.

okay fellow NCIS fan's i have weicked awesome news which mst of you prob know by now...
season 6 will start with a BANG, with the episode "last man standing" and so far there are 4 episodes on the way. in the first episode we see Tony, McGee and Ziva's name tags being tossed in the trash like yesterdays lunch GGRRR, we see Ziva with Mossard, when she gets blown up AHHH. We see McGee do what he does best hack inot other agnetces files, we also see good old and very hot Tony about to cry because he is stuck in a little room on a ship in the middle of now where. i could go on but who wants to spoile the surprise, go to www.ten.com.au then go to "Forums" then scroll down until you see "NCIS" click on it and you'll see other NCIS fans and all the info on seaosn six :D im NCIS_ROX* by the way on channle ten :D |

Okay, so, for anyone who doesn't want their head to explode wondering about the fate of our beloved team, check out the spoilers on this page.
Then, take Shane Brennan's advice and take a few deep breaths. Next season is going to be awesome, we just have to trust the people who made this the show we all love.

Question: I need to know who is getting murdered in NCIS! I want answers! — Irv Ausiello: Actually, word around NCIS is that the buzzed-about death won't be the biggest surprise of the season. Consider this line from Director Vance to Gibbs from the two-hour season finale: "If you think you can protect them forever, Jethro, you are mistaken. There's already been one casualty. There will be more." What does mean?! Beats me! Why can I not help myself from reading these gorram spoilers! It's an unhealthy addiction. (Notice how it's "Director Vance" instead of "Assistant Director Vance." Maybe that means something.)
