alright... okay... I do not like Vance.. I don't see how people CAN like the man who pulled apart the team. I like Rocky Caroll... I think he's a VERY talanted actor and most likely a LOVELY person but I just can't like him.. He brings me anger.
Please, feel free to disagree with me and tell me what the appeal is because I just don't see it. I think he could be a cool director had he not been such a jerk who split up the team.
Also, he's sus.. What was with the paper he shredded?
And also, he's joining the cast... Why? why would they do that?
HOWEVER. I DO think that with Vance being on the cast the show will be VERY interesting. I mean, we haven't had a person to hate since Jeanne and NEVER a fellow cast member so (as much as I dislike the man) it should be good.

If I contradicted myself in the above please take no note. I tend to make no sense.

From most to least willing:
Palmer - who is kind of flat and tangential

Vance - Since he the last hired, he's the easiest to cut loose, and I don't think many here seem to want Jenny back (not that she could come back)

Magee: He was brought in apparently as a love match for Abby, but thankfully that didn't work out. Nothing kills chemistry faster than having two of the characters giving in to sexual tension. Fortunately, Magee has grown from an awkward probie to being part of the team. I'd miss him, but no more than I miss Kate.

Tony - He's always grated on me. I guess the show needs eye candy for the ladies, but this guy is too boorish to be believed. The romance with Jeanne gave him more development from his frat boy stereotype and Scottie Thompson just luscious, but I don't watch this show for the sex. He's kind of the Anti-Gibbs of the cast, always getting the others to goof off with him and constantly having to be head-slapped back on track. I never saw him as a team leader, let alone heading an office away from HQ. If he were gone, I think another character like him would have to be invented as a foil for Gibbs.

Ziva - She is the reason I began watching NCIS. Her mix of beauty, sultriness and cool, ruthless efficiency (Nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition!) are fascinating. I can't believe Cote de Pablo wasn't a star before this, but she wouldn't be half as compelling without Ziva.

Abby - I hate to even think of NCIS without her. Nobody could replace her. The show would lose its life.

Ducky - I only place him beyond Abby because he reminds me most of myself. He's another contrasting personality to Gibbs. Same commitment and sense of justice, but softer, more gentle, genteel and philosophical, with some quirks that I've come to love.

At the beginning, I thought that Vance might have killed Jenny (as you can see it in senario 3 which I wrote just after season finale).
Now I thing that this can't be true. Gibbs wouldn't allow that he is left unpunnished. And the actor is joining the cast. That means that Vance will live.
