Unfair to Corporal Werth

I think it is unfair to classify Werth as a villian. Yes, he was on steroids, but he had good intentions. All he wanted to do was be a good Marine. I don't think it makes him a villian, just misguided. 10  out of 11 found this valuable. Do you?

I agree. Werth was a good guy, he just went to far in his desire to serve his country, and he was a hero. Otherwise, Gibbs wouldn't have given Werth his Silver Star.

I'm also not sure if I like Yoon Dawson's placement on this list. Yeah, she was a spy, but she also saved everyone's life and the only killing she did was necessary to do so.

I think bad guys should be more bad than good, personally.

Agreed! On both of them! Yoon Dawson was a spy, but she only killed for her own good. She had a family. And in the end, she saved more lives than she had taken. It's like putting Ziva on the bad guys list. Yes, Ziva was a part of the Kidon (Mossad's elite assassination team) but she killed for Israel's own good, and ended up saving more lives by killing, rather than letting the ones she killed kill. (Confused there? I am!) 3  out of 3 found this valuable. Do you?

I agree with you all about Werth. It isn't like he took steroids to win some athletic competition, he did it because all he ever wanted was to be a marine and serve his country. I still think he was a hero and that episode is one of my very favorite. I almost cried when Gibbs gave him his Silver Star. 2  out of 2 found this valuable. Do you?

I totally agree! It is sooo not fair to place him as a villain! He had a blood disease and he couldn't be marine (which,in fact was his dream!) so, he took the steroids. Sure, it probably wasn't the best decision that he'd ever made, but as Gibbs would say...We have to do what we have to do to get the job done. BTW, he is so freakin hot! 2  out of 2 found this valuable. Do you?

With the majority here. Werth was more victim than bad guy. Hope he gets redeemed in Outlaws and Inlaws.

Also there were real sparks (more like lightiing bolts) between Werth and Ziva - twice.

Yeah, Werth's not a villian, but I don't think "misguided" is the appropriate word here either. After all, the boyfriend in "love and War" was misguided and he'd nowhere near Werth. i didn't think Agent Lee was a villian ether....sometimes these lines can get really blurry! Do you find this valuable?
