Good for you getting us started off for Season 7! The only thing I would have added is that we also are trying to tie together "clues" ranging back to at least Season 2 *smile*. But, I think people will pick up on this soon enough ((LOL). Thanks for starting this thread! 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

OK, I finally made it to the new thread. I was barely keeping up with the Aliyah thread this week but I wanted to make sure I could find all the members of the far-fetched club when the Aliyah ship empties. See you all later here or there, wherever I can find you. Oh, and thanks a giblet for starting this one. Will we call it the SST? Sounds a little like a ship anyway. 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Lots of questions answered and some unanswered.....
1)How did Salim know Ziva was an NCIS agent?
2)Why have they kept her alive for so long?
3)They could have used the truth serum and find out all what they wanted?
4)Why was Ziva so ready to die as Tony was saying - penance? For what?
5)How on earth did Gibbs get down from the mountain miles away to the corner of the room??

That's all for now :)
Oh, and BTW: I didnt like the episode too much, I was laughing at the end of it - after all the twisted plots we thought of, the writers disappointed me by not coming up with something even more twisted!! :)) 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

I'm hoping that we'll get some more answers throughout this season. I actually posted some of the same questions as you either on the Aliyah thread or the Discuss Truth or Consequences thread. I have a thought about #4- I don't think Ziva thought there was any way for them to escape and she was sacrificing her life in hopes that Tony & McGee would be spared and held as collateral. I saw a good answer on the other thread for #5- He's Gibbs. My answer was, because he's Super Gibbs.

Anyway, good questions for us to ponder and look for the answers. Still unanswered questions- What's Vance's Israeli ops? What's happening with Eli? Well, gotta go. Read you tomorrow. Do you find this valuable?

Here are my thoughts on the Season Premiere!!

1 - I was just about floored when they opened up with Salim going to see Tony and not Ziva, but in the world of NCIS, four months has elapsed.

2 - Vance showed me something tonight. While him and Gibbs still look like they're butting heads (and he looks like he's hiding something,) Vance showed how much he did really care about Ziva. He wanted her back in the US just as much as Gibbs and the Giblets did.

3 - I would have accepted Heather on to the show because she said the magic word - HUSKIES!!! lol - just kidding. She was kinda cute but she would have never meshed. I had to laugh though when Gibbs made that DEA girl cry. I don't know what he said but dang that was a great scene

4 - I was hoping that ONE of the team would go to rescue Ziva but Tony, McGee AND Gibbs? That made it even more sweet.

5 - Gibbs still has his aim. he had to have been what, 1000 yards off? And of course, he was using HIS snipers rifle. Gibbs OWNED Salim with that shot....that was so sweet...my wife and I were high-5'ing each other when he went down.

Now - my next post will have the questions I have for this episode. 2  out of 2 found this valuable. Do you?

Now for my questions:

1) Was Salim the person that Eli David was going after? or was he just small potatoes?
2) Why did McGee and Abby have to hack in to Mossad to get the information they retrieved of Tabal's laptop? Isn't it still in evidence? Why didn't they make copies of what they sent to Eli David?

3) It's obvious that Ziva didn't give up information about NCIS because if she would have, Salim would not have been asking Tony the same question he asked Ziva in "Aliyah."

4) If Salim WAS the top dog that Eli David was going after and Gibbs took him out from 1000 yards, where does that leave Eli David and Mossad? What does that say about Mossad when NCIS did a job they couldn't do?

Wow - what a season premiere episode. SB was right - I was asking myself "what did I just see?" Do you find this valuable?

My shot at answering your questions probie:

1) Perhaps Ziva had her NCIS credentials with her or a picture of herself in an NCIS jacket
2) They kept her alive for so long because they knew SOMEONE would come and rescue her. They were hoping for Mossad and not expecting NCIS
3) I think Ziva was able to resist the truth serum. She sure looked better in this episode than she did at the end of Aliyah. Time does heal wounds...so to speak. Ziva's mossad training probably helped her in that area.
4) I can't answer that because my original answer is contradicted by the highlights for next weeks episode.
5) It took McGee and Tony a few minutes to get their hands undone while Gibbs and everyone else were busy killing off the terrorists. I had to ask myself that question too Probie, but I think that Gibbs had some help getting down that fast - perhaps a helicopter or a glider.

As for not liking the episode, I liked it - I don't think we're done with this yet because of the mission that SECNAV is prepping Vance for. 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

Something else I took out of this episode too - they said that the cargo ship that Ziva was on sank? What happened to it? Pirates? It could tie in to Siravo...just a thought though.

Hi Giblet. Great posts. Sounds plausible that Gibbs may have hitched a ride on a helicopter (although, how would they have gotten a helicopter close enough without the terrorists hearing it- then again, Salim did come into the room and say we're leaving. Maybe he had just gotten word that sounds of an impending attack were heard in the distance). I like and have all the same questions you & Probie do. We'll be looking for and hypothesizing answers all season long I guess (hope). Do you find this valuable?

Now that I've slept on it (not that I slept long mind you lol) I have to comment on something else.

McGee showed his loyalty to Ziva with this mission. We all know how Gibbs feels about Ziva and I am willing to bet that he still trusts her with his life. We all know how Tony feels about Ziva but we have never delved in to how McGee feels about Ziva. Remember, when Ziva first joined team Gibbs, McGee was the first to welcome her in to the team and to really be a friend to her. Having said that too, that leads me to the issues we were dealing with ending in May - McGee and Abby found those e-mails in Rivkin's account. They were the FIRST ones who said that Ziva was with-holding information about what Rivkin was doing. How could they change their gears so fast? (Ok, I know it's been almost four months but still...lol) Hopefuly that will be addressed in next week's episode. Do you find this valuable?

When I said I didnt like the episode, I guess I was more disappointed, as I said after all the twisted plots we thought of the writers didnt pull off anything more absurd :)) Of course it was brilliantly done though :) I think one of the best NCIS episodes despite the cliches :) I loved the time jumps :)
1)Ziva carrying her credentials or photograph would be weird, we thought the star of David necklace itself was a give away so why carrying something else to implicate herself?
2)If the assumption Mossad and NCIS reached the ship sank with no survivors, which obviously Salim had a hand in, why would they think someone would come to rescue her? They didnt want any attention drawn to themselves and as Salim admitted he only recently found out about NCIS so wanted to know more information.
3)Mossad training probably helped her - I didnt think of this.
4)Someone on another thread said that in the months she was in captive, she probably gave up hope, sounds possible.
5)Super Gibbs is the general consensus :) But I too think he had some help - jeep/helicopter maybe Do you find this valuable?

You know I didnt sleep too long either...I was watching NCIS in my dreams ;-))

Bingo! McGee and Abby both make it a point to stress that Ziva was withholding vital information. Probably in 4 months they realized that even if she did, they still cared about her too much. And as Tony says its not the same without her. I guess if they had heard from her or about her, they wouldnt have been so concerned. 0  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?
