I think Tony sees his Dad as evil, but maybe he hasn't related to him as an adult, only as a lost little boy. Does his Dad love him or not? We only know what that little boy thought. I think Tony secretly kind of admires him too. I'd like to see them together, to verbally spar, and have to try to connect with each other. Some situation they cannot control throws them together etc.
